Let's Play Catch-Up!

So these past few weeks have been filled with illness, milestones and a whole lotta Backyardigans. To begin with, I had a pretty combination of Flu and Pneumonia. All kinds of awkward right there. In the midst of my physical woe, Jason thought he'd cheer me up by bringing this to my attention:

Well, sicky sick or not, there was no way this was going to fly. We are a Seminole family and proud of it - Daddy just gets confused from time to time. Think premature mid-life crisis. Anyway, Jason went to a basketball game later that night (rooting for the 'Noles, of course!) and Lily and I made a few improvements to her new ensemble:

After the bulk of the crud-storm had passed (aka the calm of the storm as it passed from Mommy's shot immune system to wreak havoc on Daddy's) we managed to mail out invitations to Lily's first birthday party! Naturally, La Princesse wanted to oversee the project herself.

With the invites out, Lily has decided she wants to make a Super Sweet Sixteen style grand entrance at her party. Call MTV, y'all! Baby girl is planning on WALKING IN! She's been rehearsing every day and has gotten so far as standing on her own. Within the few short weeks she has left, something tells me she'll have it down!

New words added to the Lily Dictionary:
Dada
Mama
Dog
NaMa (read: No Ma'am)
Hi

Favorite Foods: Cheerios, Bananas, Sweet Tea

Favorite Activity: Dancing. She loves movin' and a groovin! She especially loves to watch dance performances (Golden Girls, dance recitals, etc). She sings and claps and rocks right along with them.

AND the best new trick: The CHOP! That's right, y'all! Baby girl will chop right along with the 'Noles when she hears the War Chant. Precious, precious girl!
